Daunia Mine Water License

Daunia Mine required a water license to ‘take’ water associated with the open-cut Mining they were carrying out.  Michael’s brief from them was to develop a regional groundwater model and pull together the relevant information including a license application and secure the License to take water from a sub-artesian aquifer.

Through proactive engagement with the State Government agency (DNRW at the time) and a concise application accompanied by the regional groundwater model report, the license was granted within 4 months off application.    This timeframe included public advertising and addressing submissions.
